An avid elk hunter, Dr. Schoenewe has also been very involved in combat sports as a ring side physician for the past 20 years. In his free time Dr. Schoenewe enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his daughter and his girlfriend.
Upon graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Army. After completing active duty, I served in the Oklahoma National Guard and dove into my studies to become a doctor. My interest began with biomedical science and quickly evolved into an interest in medicine.
I went to Oklahoma State University for medical school and did special training in rural Oklahoma that helped me understand the needs of our state. My training at In His Image residency program helped me incorporate my faith into my practice of medicine considering spiritual aspects of health.
I graduated with a Bachelor's in Nutritional Science from Oklahoma State University and then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine to complete my Master’s degree in Physician’s Associate. I have practiced as a PA in Family Medicine since 2007.
